Founder story

Capturfy began with Ray, and with the memories that followed.

Founder Peter Honey created Capturfy after seeing how easily wishes, photos, stories, decisions, and important details can become scattered around the time of a funeral.

In 2016, Peter’s father Ray passed away. It was one of the saddest times of his life. In the years that followed, Peter noticed something that stayed with him: his mother was still here, still remembering, but many of the relationships and stories that surrounded his father had begun to grow quiet.

At the time of Ray’s passing, the messages were heartfelt. People had photos, memories, and stories. Friends had moments with Ray that the family may never have seen or heard. But as time moved on, those pieces became scattered across phones, conversations, and private collections.

Capturfy was created from the belief that families deserve a calmer way to plan a farewell and protect the details that matter: wishes, service choices, photos, notes, and the information needed to make thoughtful decisions.

The Remembrance Plan is Peter’s way of helping other families hold onto what matters: the practical details, the personal wishes, and the pieces of a life that deserve to be kept safely in one place.
